Yesterday I told my client not to post again until she did her thought work and felt a shift in her energy.

Don't post?? GASP!!!

(Save this, because you're going to want this reminder.)

Trying to grow or sell when you aren't feeling your power is like attaching a stinky onion and smell-o-vision to your post.

Even though they can't pinpoint what's up, your audience can smell that ish from a mile away!

Then, either the wrong people come, or no one comes at all, and you begin to think something is wrong with you and feel worse than you did to begin with.

This is known as the entrepreneurial hamster wheel. And the way to get off of it, isn't to do more.

It's to hold on tight, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to stop running.

Then, without judgement of yourself or the wheel, look around and evaluate where you are and more importantly, who you are being.

Sometimes, we believe everything will stop moving if we do. We think it will crash and burn and cease to exist. But the reality is, the only thing that crashes and burns is us inwardly.

Some days, the necessary work is to skip the "should dos" on your list, and focus on shifting your thoughts back into power.

Get still.
Journal.
Phone a biz bestie.
Reach out to your mentor for support.

Who you are BEING reflects in your content.

When you take time to take care of your mind when it needs TLC, you will show up more fully expressed, bold, confident, and unapologetic about your message.

This is what causes the RIGHT people to be drawn into you.

I know you're not in this for vanity. You care about creating real, deep connections with others and desire people to relate to you in a way that inspires them to take action.

When you focus on fostering and growing your personal power:

Baseball and Business

My son loves ⚾️ practice and batting cage work, but when he’s actually up to the plate in a game- that "at the bat" moment..well, he hates that.

The cheering crowd rattles his nerves, and all eyes on him make him want to puke. He tells me he would rather just stick with practice, because it’s easier.

But I tell him- bud, up at bat, you’re always going to get what you want, or what you need.

The more times you put yourself at bat, the more times you increase your chance of getting the hit! Or you’ll strike out, and from that you’ll grow and learn, and the more you grow and learn, the more you’re directly impacting your success and results!

In business, some of you feel like my son. You love the game, but prefer the behind the scenes actions that keep you safe.

When you're “at bat” and all eyes are on you, AKA you ask for the sale, engage with those new accounts, or put your new offer into the world before it's "perfect," you want to puke.

But here's the deal- you're either going to strike out, or you're going to hit. Either way, you get to decide what it means.

If it's a strike, is it a fail? Or is what you learned from the experience a contributing factor of your future success?

If you want to grow, there is a direct correlation between your growth, your result, and the frequency at which you put yourself up to the plate to bat.

If you're not actively seeking out ways to fail in your business, you don't have skin in the game.

If all my son ever did was practice and train in the cage, but he never stepped up to the plate, he could never hit the home run he most desires.

And if you keep playing it safe in your business, you'll never hit the goals you desire.

This week- ask somebody for that favor, reach out to that person in your DM, put that polarizing piece of content out there on the internet that says what's really on your mind...do stuff that could make you fail.

PS. After 3 seasons with no hits and lots learned, this guy finally got his big day. He said it was 💯 worth it.

Entrepreneurs start their businesses without a shadow of a doubt that they’re meant for their work, but it’s easy for that certainty to get diluted with doubt and insecurity with all of the competition and information out there about HOW to be successful in your purpose.

If you can believe a story for years and years of your life, and give it the power to hold you back, you are a POWERFUL being. This is great news.

See what comes up for you- change really is as simple as deciding to believe new sentences in your mind! 💖

You’re afraid to look up, because you might fall

You’re afraid to look up, because you might fall.

You’re stuck, because you’re afraid of doing it wrong.

You’re not ALL IN on your business, because you question whether you’re really ready.

You’re putting off making your decision, because you’re afraid it may be the wrong one.

You’re afraid to make the offer because it’s not perfect.

You’re not signing clients yet, because you’ve pre-created the reasons they’ll say no in your mind.

You’re not being as productive as you want to be, because you’re overwhelmed about time.

You’re not giving yourself validation and credit for the things you have done, because your eyes are focused on someone else who you believe is “doing it right.”

I know, because for the first 6 months of my business, I was stuck in those same places.

But at the end of the day, by trying to avoid falling…

I fell anyway!

And guess what- to this very day, I STILL do all of the time.

But I am successful. Why? How? Because not only was I willing to fail my way there, but most importantly- I also learned to find the beautiful view from the ground when I fell.

If you want a wildly successful business, expect to get it wrong...a lot.

Expect to be told no, to not meet your goals, to be ghosted, to be talked about, and to get comfortable being crazy uncomfortable.

If this is you right now, you ARE in the right place...welcome! (Don’t waste energy seeking less bumpy routes- you’ll miss the most important parts of the journey!)

No single woman’s success story in your feed today was created without failing.

You won’t be an exception.

Look for the view, don’t forget to have fun, and find a supportive coach or friend who reminds you that if you keep going, your success is inevitable.

Creating your first 5K or 8K or 10K+ month doesn’t make you successful.

Neither does selling out your program, or launching the membership you’ve dreamed about.

Not even your amazing client results make you successful.

When I began hitting my goals, I recognized this pattern surfacing…

5 minutes of celebration, then on to the next prize.

5 minutes of unclenching the jaw, then back to worrying about how I could do it again, but better.

5 minutes of my own eyes on me, then back to watching what others are doing.

I thought it was just me, but I saw it in my clients too.

Do you see this in yourself?

I began asking a lot of questions- getting super curious.

What the heck is going on? When will it be enough? When will we claim success?

Here’s what I’ve learned.

You’ll never be successful if you don’t identify as someone who is successful.

You’ll never be wealthy if you identify as someone who is always afraid of money.

And you’ll never be enough if you don’t validate and celebrate yourself HERE, exactly where you are today in your business and life.

Where you are today, is where you once desired to be, but the online comparison game has apparently caused you amnesia.

In your pursuit of getting to the next milestone, have you noticed you never really allow yourself to be where you are?!

It’s not about the wealth or next-level- it’s about the quality of your life and who you are being while you’re creating it.

💣The only thing actually standing in your way of success right now is a thought about where you are.💣
